Saudi Oil Exports Resume, Oil Prices Fall Temporarily
Oil prices have fallen to $102 per barrel of Brent crude after Saudi Arabia began restoring its energy exports. The market responded positively to reports that Riyadh is working to bring a damaged pipeline back online, with up to 50% of capacity expected to be restored in the coming days.
Saudi Arabia has also increased shipments via alternative terminals located outside the Strait of Hormuz, reducing dependence on vulnerable maritime corridors and signaling supply chains remain resilient despite local disruptions.
However, experts warn that the downward trend may be temporary. A geopolitical premium remains embedded in prices due to regional infrastructure being a target for attacks, and any new incident could trigger a sharp price spike.
