Saudi Oil Exports Soar to Highest Level Since Iran-US War
Saudi Arabia's crude oil exports reached their highest level in nearly seven months, rising by 80% from August to approximately 6 million barrels per day in September. This significant increase came despite a precautionary closure of the East-West oil pipeline this month, which was redirected through the Strait of Hormuz after the US military opened a shipping lane along the Omani coast.
According to data from Kpler, average oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz over seven days stood at approximately 13.2 million barrels per day as of last Wednesday, compared with around 17 million barrels per day before the Iran-US war disrupted shipping.
Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser confirmed that the company has the operational flexibility and logistical capabilities to meet its commitments to customers amid geopolitical turmoil. He emphasized that Aramco is capable of withstanding and managing severe disruptions, thanks to its advanced infrastructure and operational expertise.
