Ansarallah claimed responsibility for striking a major Saudi oil facility in Abqaiq on Tuesday, according to reports.
The attack came as tensions between Iran and Western powers continue to escalate over the Strait of Hormuz.
Oman has proposed a joint management mechanism for the waterway, which would involve voluntary user fees and shared control with Iran.
