Saudi Oil Flow Resumes Amid Signs of Diplomatic Opening
Saudi Arabia has restarted its East-West Pipeline after being shut down for nearly three weeks due to drone attacks. The pipeline normally carries around 4 million barrels a day, roughly 4% of global supply, but flows were reduced after the restart.
The shutdown was caused by US-Israeli war with Iran, which effectively choked off oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran indicated it's ready to reopen the strait within seven days if Washington eases military pressure and lifts its blockade on Iranian ports.
Iran's Revolutionary Guard warned that the war is not over, and they're prepared to shift weapons, tactics, and targets if the conflict escalates.
