Saudi Oil Halt Sparks Global Price Surge Amid European Refinery Disruptions
Saudi Arabia has halted oil deliveries to Europe due to drone attacks on a key pipeline, leaving European refineries scrambling for replacement supplies. At least three major refineries in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania have seen their shipments delayed or cancelled until November.
The interruption has led to a rapid increase in crude prices, with Brent futures trading at around $108 per barrel and physical market prices reaching as high as $122 in Europe.
Croatia is not expected to face physical shortages of oil due to its diversified supply sources, but the country's fuel prices may still be affected by the global price increases. The domestic refinery in Rijeka sources crude from various origins, including Mediterranean and North African countries.
