Saudi Pipeline Attack Damages Multiple Pumping Stations Amid Global Oil Supply Disruption

Saudi Arabia's East-West oil pipeline was damaged in last week's drone attack, which has disrupted global oil supplies. According to Reuters, three pumping stations serving the pipeline were damaged, one more than initially assessed.

Satellite imagery and industry sources supported this revised assessment, which contradicts the initial report of two damaged sites. Oil and security officials had indicated that only two pumping stations were hit in the attack.

Repair estimates suggest it could take five to six weeks to fix the damage, although some sources indicate partial flows may resume sooner. Bloomberg reported that Saudi Aramco aims to restore around half of the route's capacity 'within days' by bypassing an affected section.
