Saudi Pipeline Restart Sends Oil Prices into a Slide
Oil prices have been experiencing a downturn, with Brent and WTI crude oil futures marking their longest losing streak in over a year. According to the Financial Times, Brent is trading at around $99.25 per barrel, while WTI is at approximately $89.67.
This decline follows Saudi Arabia's announcement to restart flows through its East-West pipeline, easing supply disruption concerns. Market behavior suggests that the likelihood of oil reaching a new all-time high by September 30 has diminished, with pricing currently at 0.5% YES.
Recent developments have seen a drop in expectations for an oil price surge, with the December 31 all-time high probability decreasing from 16% to 10.5% over the past week.
