Saudi Startup Unveils Futuristic Electric Vehicles to Rival Cybertruck

Saudi Arabia has made an unexpected foray into electric vehicle manufacturing with its new Exobot EVs, designed to rival even Tesla's Cybertruck.

The ultra-futuristic designs of the sedan and SUV models scream science fiction, with gullwing doors reminiscent of the DeLorean and a wedge-shaped body that evokes the Ferrari Luce.

Ceer, the Saudi startup behind Exobot, is backed by the country's sovereign wealth fund and Foxconn, the Taiwanese electronics giant. The company aims to launch five more models by 2030 and has secured funding from Saudi Arabia's vast oil wealth.

While Ceer's CEO Jim DeLuca acknowledges the challenges of starting a car company from scratch, he believes that Exobot can buck the trend set by other startups such as Fisker and Lordstown.
