Saudi-US Strikes Target Iran-Backed Groups in Iraq Amid Rising Tensions
Saudi Arabia, in coordination with U.S. Central Command, launched targeted strikes against Iran-backed groups in Iraq.
The strikes followed a series of drone attacks on Saudi oil facilities, which were allegedly directed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to CENTCOM, over 30 drone attacks occurred within a 72-hour period, targeting U.S. forces and Saudi energy infrastructure.
The Saudi Defence Ministry emphasized its desire to avoid escalation but vowed to retaliate against any aggression.
