Saudis Fuel Asian Markets with Massive Oil Sales Spree
Saudi Arabia has been active in the oil market lately, selling nearly 100 million barrels of crude to Asian buyers. This move is seen as a way to alleviate the impending supply crunch in Asia.
The sales were made for delivery in October and November, with traders indicating that the oil will be transported through the Strait of Hormuz.
Chinese state-run and independent refiners, as well as processors in India, Japan, and South Korea, are among the buyers. This indicates a significant effort to address the region's energy needs.
