Scrap Metal Prices See Gains in Copper and Aluminum

The latest scrap metal price report from ScrapMonster on August 11, 2026 indicates that copper and aluminum prices saw an increase, while other metals remained stable.

Copper scrap prices edged higher by $0.02 per pound for several grades, including #1 Copper Wire and Tubing, #2 Copper Wire and Tubing, and #1 Copper Bare Bright. However, some copper prices, such as #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery, remained unchanged.

Aluminum scrap prices also rose by $0.01 per pound for most grades, including 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, and E.C. Aluminum Wire saw a larger increase of $0.02 per pound.
