Semiconductor Dominance Shaken as Crude Oil, Nuclear Power Plant ETFs Surge
In the domestic exchange-traded fund (ETF) market, semiconductors have continued to dominate this year. However, crude oil and nuclear energy ETFs have recently risen to the top of the yield at a rapid pace.
According to the Korea Exchange, from the 1st to the 10th of this month, the product with the highest yield among domestic listed ETFs is 'ACE SK Hynix Single Stock Leveraged' (23.13%).
The top seven positions are all held by semiconductor-related products, including '1Q SK Hynix Futures Single Stock Leveraged', 'KIWOOM SK Hynix Futures Single Stock Leveraged', and 'RISE SK Hynix Single Stock Leveraged'. However, crude oil and nuclear power plant ETFs are also gaining traction.
'KODEX WTI Crude Oil Gift (H)' has risen 11.60% over the past 10 days until the 10th, ranking 10th in overall ETF returns. It rose 262 places in a month to become one of the top-performing products.
Nuclear ETFs are also surging along with the crude oil theme. 'TIGER Korea Nuclear Power' rose 27.51% last month and rose 11.11% this month, while 'KODEX Nuclear SMR' rose 9.98% and 'SOL Korea Nuclear SMR' rose 9.66%.
