Sempra Infrastructure Locks in 20-Year LNG Deal with Petrobras
Sempra Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Sempra, has announced a significant long-term deal. The company will supply around 0.8 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually to Petrobras under a 20-year sales and purchase agreement. This LNG will come from the contracted liquefaction capacity at the Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 project in Texas, which is currently under construction.
The project's Phase 2 is designed to include two liquefaction trains with combined capacity of approximately 13 million tonnes per annum. The deal was announced on September 14, 2026, and the price of Sempra stock remains unchanged at EUR 69.71 in weekend trading at Lang & Schwarz.
The company's stock price remained steady at EUR 69.71 on October 4, 2026, with no change from its close on October 2, 2026. The weekend trading price for Sempra stock is separate from the dated company announcement and does not affect the quote.
