Senco Gold & Diamonds Sees 67% Revenue Growth Amid Resilient Demand
Senco Gold & Diamonds reported a significant increase in revenue for the first quarter of FY27. The company's consolidated revenue from operations rose by 67% year-over-year to Rs 3,056 crore. Retail sales grew by 50% to Rs 2,651.5 crore, while same-store sales growth (SSSG) stood at 39%. Despite a 61% rise in average gold prices, demand remained strong due to various festivals and the summer wedding season.
The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 16% to Rs 213 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 7%. However, net profit after tax (PAT) declined by 3% to Rs 101 crore due to gold-price volatility, discounting, and losses at some subsidiaries. Senco added eight new showrooms during the quarter, taking its total network to 209. The company plans to open another 12-15 showrooms in the rest of FY27.
The management maintained its target of 20%+ value growth for FY27, aiming for an EBITDA margin of 7.5-7.8% and sustainable PAT margins of 4-4.5%. The company attributes its resilient demand to various regional festivals and the summer wedding season.
