Senco Gold's share price jumped nearly 12% in Thursday's trading session following a strong Q2 business update. The company reported a 31% year-over-year revenue growth for Q2FY27, driven by a 29% increase in retail revenue and a 19% growth from existing stores. Senco Gold also achieved its highest-ever topline of over ₹5,000 crore in the first half of the year and reached ₹10,000 crore in sales on a trailing-twelve-month basis. The company opened 6 new showrooms during the quarter, expanding its network to 215 showrooms.
The company anticipates strong demand in Q3FY27, fueled by the festive season and wedding-related purchases. Senco Gold highlighted that despite elevated gold prices, organized players with strong brands and sourcing capabilities can gain market share. The focus remains on driving lightweight and 9K collections, improving inventory turns, and reducing inventory days.
Senco Gold's stock hit a 52-week high of ₹430 on 27 July and a low of ₹275.70 on 30 March this year. Year-to-date, the stock is up 7%, contrasting with a 16% fall in the Sensex.
