The Indian stock market saw gains on Tuesday as oil prices eased up. The BSE Sensex rose by about 0.1% to reach 74,990 after a previous day's gain.

The decline in crude oil prices helped take some pressure off India, an oil-importing country. Brent crude traded around $101 a barrel, ending its four-consecutive session decline.

A major IPO, the National Stock Exchange, drew over $10 billion in bids and was subscribed 5.71 times, with shares set to debut on Thursday.
