Serbia Locks in Russian Gas Deal Until Year-End

Serbia has extended its contract to buy natural gas from Russia's Gazprom for another three months. The deal, worth 6.1mcm (million cubic meters) per day, will now run until the end of the year under the same conditions as before.

The extension was announced by Dusan Bajatovic, CEO of Serbia's state-owned energy supplier Srbijagas. He did not provide any further details about the agreement.
