Shell and Partners Poised to Greenlight LNG Canada Expansion

Shareholders of Canada's LNG Canada Development Inc., including Shell Plc, are on the verge of approving plans to double the capacity of their liquefied natural gas facility. According to people familiar with the matter, a final investment decision is expected as soon as next week.

The project aims to increase its maximum output to 28 million metric tons per year, up from the current capacity. The backers of LNG Canada are reportedly set to announce this decision confidentially.
