Shell Doubles Down on LNG Canada Expansion Amid Asia's Supply Shock

Shell's LNG Canada venture has made a final investment decision to expand its liquefied natural gas exports, doubling its capacity to 28 million metric tons per year. The expansion will roughly double the current production capacity of the West Coast plant in Kitimat, British Columbia. Commercial operations for the expanded project are slated to begin in the early 2030s.
