Shell-led Venture Doubles Capacity at Canada's LNG Facility

British oil giant Shell has announced an expansion of its liquefied natural gas facility in Canada, in partnership with other companies. The project, known as LNG Canada 2, will double the site's capacity to 28 million tonnes a year.

The investment is valued at over $30 billion and is expected to connect low-cost, low-carbon Canadian energy to global markets.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said 'Today's investment...will make LNG Canada the second largest facility of its kind in the world.'
