Shipping Traffic Steady Amid Ongoing Peace Talks

Shipping traffic in key Middle Eastern maritime chokepoints remained steady on Tuesday amid uncertainty over ongoing peace talks.

A total of eight vessels, including five tankers and three bulk carriers, transited the Strait of Hormuz, according to shipping data from Kpler. This is similar to the previous day's numbers. Six of these vessels were entering the strait, while a gas carrier and a tanker were exiting.

One notable development was the reappearance of an Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC) controlled liquefied natural gas tanker outside the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday. The tanker, Mubaraz, had departed Das Island in the United Arab Emirates on July 14 and was last seen inside the strait on July 16.

Additionally, 20 vessels crossed the Bab el-Mandeb on Tuesday, with 10 entering and 10 exiting the waterway, according to Kpler data. This is consistent with previous day's numbers.
