Natural gas futures prices slipped around midday on Friday as traders weighed the approaching shoulder season decline in demand against strong LNG feedgas and hotter regional changes to the weather outlook.

The October futures contract fell by 3.9 cents to $2.875/MMBtu, while November futures dropped by 4.0 cents to $3.031 around 11:45 a.m. ET.

Physical prices were mixed, with traders considering the impact of warmer temperatures on regional demand during the shoulder season, which typically spans from April to October.
