The platinum price has slipped by 1.1% to $1,697.73, while palladium has increased by 1.4% to $1,231.53.

Gold prices have bounced back on Tuesday after hitting a more-than-seven-week low in the previous session. Spot gold has climbed 1.1% to reach $4,158.28 per ounce, and US gold futures are up by 0.5% to $4,190.10.

Ricardo Evangelista, Director and CEO of ActivTrades, said that today's modest recovery 'looks like a rebound following yesterday's sharp sell-off, rather than a fundamental change in sentiment.'
