Silver Futures Decline as Participants Reduce Bets
Silver futures saw a decline in prices on August 8th due to reduced bets by participants. The price of silver fell to Rs 2,26,792 per kilogram in futures trade. This marked a decrease of Rs 792 from the previous day's value.
The September delivery contracts for silver declined by 0.35% in a business turnover of 1,700 lots. Analysts attributed this drop to a sell-off by participants, which weighed on silver prices.
Globally, the white metal was trading at $61.59 per ounce in New York, showing a decline of 0.73%. The Multi Commodity Exchange witnessed this trend in silver futures trade.
