Silver futures on the Indian commodity market dropped to Rs 2.25 lakh per kilogram on October 6, 2026, reflecting a sell-off by participants. The price of silver contracts for December delivery fell by Rs 466, or 0.21 percent, in 1,938 lots. Analysts attributed the decline to reduced bets and a broader sell-off in the market.

Globally, silver prices also saw a downturn, trading 0.65 percent lower at $60.67 per ounce in New York. The decline in both domestic and international markets suggests a broader trend affecting the precious metal.
