Silver futures saw a decline in prices due to reduced bets from participants. On September 1, silver contracts for December delivery decreased by 0.81% in a business turnover of 2,004 lots.

The price of silver fell to Rs 2,40,489 per kilogram, marking a drop of Rs 1,955. Analysts point to a sell-off by participants as the main reason behind this decline.

Globally, silver was trading down 1.04% at $68.22 per ounce in New York.
