Silver futures rose to ₹2.4 lakh per kg on Tuesday as participants built up fresh positions, analysts said.
The price of silver for December delivery increased by ₹456, or 0.19%, to ₹2,40,577 per kilogram in the Multi Commodity Exchange's futures trade.
This rise came despite a decline in overseas markets, where silver futures decreased 0.17% to $66.46 per ounce.
