Silver Price Hikes by 0.73% on September 30 Amid Dollar Strength and Geopolitical Tensions
The price of silver in India saw an increase of 0.73% on September 30, 2026. The current price for 1 gm of silver is ₹227, while the 10 gm rate stands at ₹2,265, and the 1 kg rate at ₹226,540.
The silver prices are influenced by various factors, including international spot rates, US dollar fluctuations, and import duties on silver. Analysts suggest that the price may remain range-bound in the near term due to a firm dollar, geopolitical headwinds in the Middle East, and high energy prices.
Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money, commented on the MCX Silver stating that it opened largely steady at Rs 226,487, up 0.25% on the day, holding above the Rs 224,000 support level while lagging gold's rebound.
