Silver Price Lags Behind Copper, Raising Market Divergence Concerns
Otavio (Tavi) Costa, portfolio manager at Crescat Capital, has highlighted a notable divergence in the market. He points out that silver prices are lagging behind those of copper, which is leading.
According to Costa, silver's price movement is influenced by both industrial and monetary forces, similar to those affecting copper. This setup could become significant towards year-end, he suggests.
Costa has previously noted agricultural commodities breaking past a nearly two-decade resistance level as diesel prices and mortgage rates climbed. He also predicted a potential shift in Latin America's market leadership due to political factors, resource exposure, and relative valuations.
