The price of silver in India has dropped to ₹2.35 lakh per kg on October 2, 2026, after falling by ₹20,000 over the past month ahead of a potential Fed rate hike.

The latest decline represents a 2.08% drop from its previous level of ₹2.40 lakh per kg, and silver prices in major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai have also seen similar drops.

The price of gold has remained volatile following its correction in September, with the latest indicative India price for gold standing at ₹14,924 per gram for 24K, ₹13,680 for 22K, and ₹11,193 for 18K.

Investors are monitoring changes in interest rate expectations closely as they could impact the US dollar and precious metals demand.
