Silver Price Steady at ₹2.40 Lakh/kg Amid Global Market Volatility
Silver prices remained under pressure on September 30, 2026, due to cautious global market conditions. In India, gold rates declined across 24K, 22K and 18K categories, while silver held steady at ₹2,40,000 per kg.
Investors and buyers are closely watching international prices, currency movements, and economic developments. Silver prices have seen significant increases due to strong demand and currency fluctuations, rising from roughly ₹78,600 per kg in 2023-2024 to over ₹240,000 per kg in September 2026.
The MCX Gold 5 October futures stood at ₹1,46,513 per 10 grams, while the MCX Silver 4 December contracts were at ₹2,27,390 per kg. Bullion traded around $4,125 an ounce after tumbling 4% to a seven-week low.
