Silver Price Surge Halted by Declining Solar Sector Demand
The price of silver has surged over 10% this week to $63.9 per troy ounce, its highest level since late June.
This has caused the gold/silver ratio to fall below 70, according to Commerzbank's Carsten Fritsch.
However, Fritsch highlights that solar-sector demand for silver is set to decline for a second year, with silver's share in solar modules and total demand expected to fall despite still-elevated prices.
