Silver Price Surges, Falls by 41% in Four Sessions
Silver trading involves taking a position on the silver price without owning any physical metal. The spot contract, XAGUSD, is traded as a contract for difference (CFD) with EBC Financial Group. This means that investors buy or sell the difference between the opening and closing prices of silver.
The price of silver has fluctuated significantly in recent months, reaching an all-time high of $121.67 per troy ounce on January 29, 2026, before falling to $71.67 by February 2, a decline of around 41% in just four sessions.
To trade silver online, investors need to open an account with EBC, fund it, and buy or sell XAGUSD. The minimum trade size is 0.01 lots, which covers 50 troy ounces, while the maximum leverage available is up to 1:500.
