Silver Price Tumbles Ahead of US PCE Inflation Data
Silver prices have declined to near $67.87 in Asian trading on Tuesday due to caution ahead of the US Personal Consumer Expenditure Price Index (PCE) data for July.
The core PCE inflation is expected to remain steady at 3.4% YoY, with investors paying close attention to the outcome as it is the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge.
According to TD Securities, the July inflation data should keep the Fed's preferred gauge comfortably aligned with its objectives.
