Spot silver prices have fallen below $62 an ounce for the first time since August 7, marking a sharp move in the market.

The decline represents a 3.6% loss during the session and has pushed silver back toward the lower end of its recent trading range.

In comparison to previous declines, this drop is less severe than the metal's steepest moves in January, when it fell by 18.62% and 35.12% on separate occasions.
