Silver Prices Converge Nationally at ₹2,400 Per 10 Grams Across India
The silver price in India has reached ₹2,400 per 10 grams across ten major cities, marking the first time this week that prices have converged nationally. The previous day's small premium in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kerala has disappeared, bringing all cities to the same rate. This uniformity is due to international prices, which move the silver rate in either direction through the day.
Seven of the ten cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad - remained unchanged from Tuesday at ₹2,400 per 10 grams. Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kerala fell by ₹49 each from ₹2,449 to ₹2,400, erasing their previous gap with the rest of the country.
Retail buyers continue to view silver as a lower-cost entry point into precious metals, thanks to its smaller per-gram price compared to gold. Investors can consider Silver ETFs, which track the metal's price without requiring physical delivery or storage checks.
