Silver Prices Find Firm Footing Above $64 Amid Geopolitical Tension

Silver has regained its footing above $64, a level that was once unremarkable but now holds outsized significance.

The metal has climbed around 70% over the past year, yet remains nearly half below its January peak, reminding us that this rally is a recovery, not a record run.

Friday's session saw the spot price slip 1.4% to $64.61, but still managed a weekly gain of 1.3%, and a monthly increase of 11%.

This move is driven by a familiar blend of geopolitical tension and shifting monetary expectations, with investors increasingly treating silver as a hedge against rising energy costs.

Citi's analysts have reaffirmed their aggressive stance on silver, holding firm to a $90 price target on a six-to-twelve-month horizon, roughly 40% above current levels.
