Silver prices plummeted on Wednesday, September 23, according to FXStreet data. The precious metal was trading at $65.45 per troy ounce, down 2.42% from Tuesday's price of $67.07.

This decline marks a significant drop in the silver market, with prices falling by 7.93% since the beginning of the year.

The Gold/Silver ratio also saw an increase on Wednesday, reaching 66.01, up from 64.97 on Tuesday. This ratio indicates that it takes more ounces of silver to equal the value of one ounce of gold.
