Silver Prices Plummet Amid Strengthening US Dollar and Rising Bond Yields
The global silver price plummeted on September 24, as the US dollar strengthened and US Treasury bond yields rose. This downward pressure is causing the precious metal to lose its attractiveness to investors.
In Vietnam, domestic silver prices also declined sharply in today's trading session. The price of 999 silver bars at DOJI Jewelry Group Joint Stock Company was listed at 2.211 - 2.290 million VND/tael (buying - selling), down 96,000 VND/tael on the buying side and 92,000 VND/tael on the selling side compared to yesterday morning.
The price of silver bars 2024 Ancarat 999 at Ancarat Gem Company was listed at 2,160 - 2.225 million VND/tael (buying - selling), down 55,000 VND/tael on the buying side and 56,000 VND/tael on the selling side compared to yesterday morning.
The world silver price fell by 2.62 USD/ounce as of 9:00 AM on September 24 (Vietnam time), down from the previous day's price of 63.82 USD/ounce.
