Silver Prices Plummet as Gold Sees Slight Recovery
Silver prices are plummeting on Tuesday, down by approximately 1% to $60.78 per ounce.
This comes as platinum prices have slipped by 1.1% to $1,697.73, while palladium has increased by 1.4% to $1,231.53.
In contrast, gold prices have bounced back after hitting a more-than-seven-week low in the previous session, with spot gold climbing 1.1% to reach $4,158.28 per ounce as of 1136 GMT.
US gold futures are also up by 0.5% to $4,190.10.
Ricardo Evangelista, Director and CEO of ActivTrades, suggests that today's modest recovery may be a rebound following yesterday's sharp sell-off, rather than a fundamental change in sentiment.
