Silver Prices See Short-Term Bounce Amid Larger Downtrend

Spot silver prices have shown signs of short-term strength, potentially challenging the larger downtrend. Since establishing a corrective bottom at $54.78 two weeks ago, silver has seen one leg up to a high of $60.94 last week.

The price action indicates that sellers continue to dominate, but there are early signs of a shift in momentum. Support has held, reinforcing the potential for a near-term continuation of the advance.

A higher weekly low and higher high have been established on the higher timeframe, reflecting short-term strength. A one-day bullish reversal above Friday's high of $58.99 was triggered when silver strengthened to a three-day high near $60.10 on Monday.

This could signal continuation of the advance to a higher high above $60.94. If this momentum continues, it will be necessary for silver to overcome the $63.28 lower swing high and then the $70.65 to $72.08 resistance zone before a more significant test can occur.
