Silver Prices Soar Above $67.00 as Yields Fall
Silver prices continued their recovery on Friday, hitting session highs above $67.00 as yields fell and investors sought safer assets.
The US Treasury's moderate reversal in yields offset the impact of the Federal Reserve's hawkish rate hike earlier in the week.
Chairman Kevin Warsh reaffirmed the Fed's commitment to fighting inflation, hinting at further monetary tightening ahead.
Despite this, the decision boosted the US Dollar but also triggered a relief in bond markets as confidence in the central bank's independence was restored.
The 10-year yield retreated below 5%, providing a fresh impulse to precious metals like Silver.
