Silver Prices Surge Amid Rising Demand
Silver prices have surged by $1.32 to reach $64.78 per ounce, marking a notable increase from the previous day and a significant rise of over 19% from this time last year.
This uptick in silver prices reflects both short-term fluctuations and long-term trends in the precious metals market. Yesterday's price was $63.46 per ounce, a 2% increase. However, the price has declined by more than 6% since it peaked at $68.97 a month ago.
Despite underperforming the S&P 500 by nearly 96% since 1921, silver has maintained its reputation as a store of value, particularly during periods of inflation. It provides a degree of purchasing power when economic conditions escalate.
