Silver prices have seen an increase in value due to fresh bets on the market. In the futures trade, silver rose 1.46% to Rs 2.39 lakh per kg on Wednesday. This rise is attributed to a firm global trend and new positions built up by participants.
The white metal for September delivery saw an increase of Rs 3,429 in 1,091 lots. In contrast, the overseas market saw silver futures increase by 0.96% to $65.30 per ounce.
