Silver Rate Plummets 0.49% as Dollar Index Rises

The silver rate in India has taken a hit, falling by 0.49% from its previous close on August 25th, 2026.

The current price of 1 gram of silver is ₹244, while the price for 10 grams and 1 kilogram stands at ₹2,436 and ₹243,620 respectively.

This decline in the silver rate is largely influenced by the rise in the US dollar index, which makes greenback-priced commodities more expensive for holders of other currencies, thereby denting demand.

However, US bond market interventions continue to support the white metal. The spot silver price has advanced by over 16% in international markets over the past month.
