Silver Rises as Oil Prices Drop and US Yields Retreat
Silver prices continue their upward trend for the second consecutive day, trading near $65.80 per troy ounce during Asian hours on Friday.
The metal's advance is supported by a pullback in oil prices, which has helped temper inflation concerns and driven government bond yields lower.
US 10-year Treasury yield retreats to about 4.93% after briefly exceeding 5.0% earlier in the week, making non-yielding assets like Silver more attractive.
Market-implied odds of an October Fed rate hike rise to 53.1%, up from 44% the previous day, according to the CME FedWatch tool.
