Singapore's fuel prices have increased for the first time in over two months, with several major retailers raising petrol and diesel rates on September 14.

The price hikes were triggered by a surge in Brent crude futures to US$106.93 per barrel, up from around US$76 per barrel during Singapore's previous fuel price adjustments in early July.

Caltex implemented the largest adjustment, raising its listed fuel prices by 12 cents per liter, while Shell and Esso matched an 8-cent increase across their fuel range.

The increases pushed diesel prices above S$4 per liter at several major fuel retailers for the first time in three months, with Caltex charging S$4.07 per liter and Shell and Esso pricing diesel at S$4.03.
