Six Empty LNG Tankers Headed to Qatar Amid Resumed Trade

Six empty liquefied natural gas tankers are heading to Qatar, which may signal that QatarEnergy is preparing to resume LNG loading.

The vessels, linked to Iran, were spotted in or approaching the Gulf of Oman and moving towards Qatar's coast, according to Bloomberg and data from Kpler.

This development comes after QatarEnergy successfully delivered one LNG cargo through the Strait of Hormuz three weeks ago, following a successful crossing by another vessel with its geolocation devices switched on.

The resumption of LNG flows from Qatar is significant, as it is the world's third-largest exporter of liquefied natural gas.
