South Korea and Japan have agreed to deepen their cooperation on stable emergency supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG), crude oil, and petroleum products. The two countries held their first meeting on implementing a supply chain partnership in Tokyo, as per Seoul's Industry Ministry. During the discussion, they exchanged views on coordinating responses to carbon emissions and supply chain due diligence rules, including the EU's carbon tariff.

The meeting marked an important step towards strengthening bilateral cooperation between South Korea and Japan. The two countries have been working to improve their economic ties in recent years, and this agreement is a significant development in that effort.
