HD Hyundai ENF has completed a liquefied natural gas (LNG) combined heat and power plant in South Korea's Daesan petrochemical complex. The project, valued at approximately 435 billion won, took over two years to complete and began commercial operation on July 31st.

The new plant has a power generation capacity of 290 megawatts (MW) and a heat production capacity of 321 tons per hour, using a high-efficiency gas turbine combined cycle. This technology allows for simultaneous electricity and heat energy production from LNG.

HD Hyundai Oilbank's president Song Myung-jun said the completion of this plant strengthens the complex's energy infrastructure and will enhance the competitiveness of tenant corporations through stable energy supply.

Kim Myung-hyun, CEO of HD Hyundai ENF, emphasized the importance of stable operation and improving facility efficiency to help client companies reduce carbon emissions.
